Samarium Cobalt Cylinder Magnets
Samarium cobalt (SmCo) cylinder magnets are composed of samarium, cobalt and iron. Samarium cobalt magnets are valued for their superior strength relative to their size. Even at extremely low or high temperatures these magnets resist demagnetization and corrosion. These powerful magnets are often used instead of Neodymium magnets because they can be subjected to higher temperatures without losing their magnetic power - up to 570 degrees Fahrenheit or 300 degrees Centigrade.
