Ceramic Cylinder Magnets (Ferrite)

Ceramic cylinder magnets (sometimes called Ferrite magnets) are commonly used in loud speakers for home and car audio systems as they suppress high frequency noise in electronic circuits. These popular magnets have the widest magnetic field of all magnets and good resistance to corrosion. Despite being a rather brittle, ceramic magnets are used in a wide variety of applications such as motors, water conditioning, speakers, reed switches, crafts, toys and magnetic therapies. Ceramic magnets are an economical alternative with good resistance to demagnetization.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
