This Neodymium Rare Earth Magnetic Strip measures 12.5 mm (W) x 1.5 mm (T) x 1 meter (L). It has a 3M 9448 adhesive backing and is the strongest of our flexible magnetic tapes. It has a pull force of 450 g/cm².
This product is ideal for use where Ferrite tapes lack enough magnetic strength. Typical uses are for securing and displaying banners, signage and heavy items (It has a pull force of 450 g/cm²). In these circumstances a glue like Selleys Kwik Grip will need to be applied as the 3M 9448 adhesive isn't strong enough for weighted objects.
Magnetic strips are suitable for attaching items to vertical surfaces cleanly and safely. When you use magnets instead of nails, screws, or other adhesives it is much easier to move items around on the wall and reduces the need to repair holes or wall damage. They work as designed. My only concern is that they don’t do what I purchased them for, my steak knives have very heavy handles and they don’t have strong enough magnets

I glued the magnetic strip to a section of flexible plastic sheet which is used as a rain flashing on my caravan. The magnetic strength is much greater than the previous magnet I used ( purchased from Bunnings) and it holds the flashing piece securely. The magnetic strip works as advertised.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
